WOdka FrontBase Install (Japanese)

FrontBase Lion Version Installer(works with Snow Leopard)

We have some Customer where there Server isn't on the Internet. Mostly for In-house Development and than it is handy to have an offline Installer.

Easy Install of FrontBase 4 or FrontBase 5 for OS X Server

This is a Disk Image to Download for installing FrontBase with everything include.

You can install 4.2.9 or 5.2.1i on Snow Leopard

You can install 5.2.1j on Lion

Usually most People Download the Software from the Internet and install it on the Server. That is fine. The Purpose of this Image is to make an easy installation on OS X 10.6 + 10.7 Server :

Sometimes there are Servers without a Connection to the Internet.

How to Install

1. Copy the Image to the Server

curl -C - -O http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1548210/Downloads/FBDepoyment/FBDeploy.dmg

2. Mount the DiskImage on the Machine where it has to be installed.

double click and mount the Image, in Terminal :

hdiutil attach FBDeploy.dmg

3. Start Installation

cd /Volumes/FBDeploy/Lion/
sudo ./fbdeploy

cd /Volumes/FBDeploy/SnowLeopard/
sudo ./fbdeploy

Enter [e] for English or [j] for Japanese.

"help" Command show you what you can do.
"quit" Command will quit the Programm.

"fb4" Command will install FrontBase 4.2.9 into your System

"fb5" Command will install FrontBase 5.1f3 int your System

"plug" Command will install the FontBase WebObject PlugIn and JDBC Driver

The FrontBase Installation will also include the Licenses File and a Movies DB for Testing that everything is OK.
